The Director-General/Chief Executive of the National Teachers’ Institute, Kaduna and Mutawallin Zazzau, Dr. Aminu Ladan Sharehu wasborn July 21, 1962. He attended Kaura L.E.A Primary School, Zaria City. He had his Grade II education at the Zaria Teachers’ College from 1975 to 1980. In 1982, he proceeded to College of Education, Kafanchan in Kaduna State, for his Nigeria Certificate in Education and completed in 1985. As a teacher, the quest for more knowledge encouraged him to further his education with the famous Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, where he obtained B.A(Ed) English Literature in 1988. For anyone whose intention and interest is acquiring knowledge, a step will always lead to another. Such is not different with him in 1992, as he had already bagged his Masters i.e M.Ed in Educational Administration & Planning with the same university. By 2002, he completed his Ph.D in Public Administration from A.B.U, Zaria. He had attended many National and International Conferences and Seminars on Teacher Education and Open Distance Learning (ODL). Dr. Aminu has been a member of many professional associations and he is also a recipient of numerous prestigious and distinguished awards for excellence, nationally and internationally. To his credit, he has written and contributed in published Journals. Beside other academics works authored and co-authored. He is a Fellow, of the Nigerian Institute of Management (FNIM), Fellow, Institute of Chartered Executives of Nigeria (FICEN), National Productivity Order of Merit Award (NPOM) and Grand Commander of the Nigerian Youth. Before his appointment as the Chief Executive of NTI Kaduna, Dr. Aminu was a Senior Lecturer in Development Administration at the Faculty of Administration Ahmadu.Bello.University Zaria, Nigeria. He also served as Special Adviser to Kaduna State Government on Basic Education.
