Dr. Vitalii Lunov as the ‘Scientist of the Year’ Contest Winner!


Contestant Brief Profile:

Dr. Vitalii Lunov is a leading researcher and science correspondent at the G. S. Kostiuk Institute of Psychology of NAPS of Ukraine. He is an Associate Professor of the Department of Developmental Psychology, Faculty of Psychology of Taras Shevchenko Kiev National University, as well as of the Department of General and Medical Psychology and Pedagogy of Medical-Psychological Faculty of O. O. Bogomolets National Medical University. He is the co-founder and member of the board of the public organization ‘Ukrainian Association of Educational and Developmental Psychology’ and the General Representative of the Director of the G. S. Kostiuk Institute of psychology of NAPS of Ukraine in the international research and publishing programmes. He is also an external Advisor to the first Vice-rector of O. O. Bogomolets National Medical University. Since 2013 Dr. Vitalii Lunov has been serving as a Professor of Psychology Department, the Deputy Dean of Law and Psychology Department, and currently he is the Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists, member of the Academic Council of the Institute. 

Dr. Lunov is alumni of the Law and Psychology Department of Makeyevka Institute of Economics and humanities on the specialty "Psychology" (2007). A psychologist degree is confirmed by the International educational Society (IES) (London, UK). He graduated from postgraduate study of the I. I. Mechnikov Odessa National University with the thesis for the Department of Differential and Experimental Psychology (2011).

In 2013 he defended PhD thesis at the I. I. Mechnikov Odessa National University. Currently he is a supervisor of the 6 PhD theses for the scientific degree of Candidate of Psychological Sciences.

Awarded the academic title of Professor of RANH (section of psychological science).Honored worker of science and education (2015).Member of the International Academy of Natural History (2014).Full member of the European Academy of Natural History (Edinburgh, UK, 2014).Corresponding member of the Ukrainian Academy of Acmeology (2014).Member of World Academy of Science, Engineering and Technology.Member-correspondent of the British Academy of Education (London, UK, 2015).Full member ofWorld Federation for Mental Health, USA, 2015.

Founder and chief editor of the international scientific journal"Fundamental and Applied Researches in Practice of Leading Scientific Schools"- ISSN 2313-7525. 

He was awarded a Gold medal "European Quality" of the European scientific and industrial consortium (UK) for his achievements in the field of manufacturing quality scientific products - basic and applied research, educational programs, educational publications (UK, 2014). Awarded the order "PRIMUS INTER PARES (FIRST AMONG EQUALS)", for significant contribution to the development of science, for outstanding scientific works, discoveries and inventions on the totality of works of great scientific and practical importance (UK, 2015).
