Ryzhkov S. has graduated from Nikolaev Shipbuilding Institute (NSI) in 1981, majoring in mechanical engineering. In 1982-1985 he studied at the Ph.D school of the Odessa Institute of Marine Engineers, in 1985.. defended his Ph.D thesis. In 1985-1987 he worked as a senior lecturer at the Nikolayev branch of the Institute training shipbuilding workers. In 1988-1989 he worked as a scientific secretary of the Scientific and Production Center at the Nikolaev Shipbuilding Institute. In 1989 -1992 he studied at the doctoral school NSI. In 1993 he defended his doctoral thesis and was approved in the degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences, specialty "Ship Power Plants". In 1993 he worked in NSI (now NUS) as Deputy Vice-Rector of Scientific Researches and from 1994 to the present - head of the Ecology Department, has a certificate of Professor in the Department of Environmental Protection (1995). In October 2008 he was elected as a Rector of Admiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
Professor Ryzhkov S. - Famous Ukrainian scientist and organizer of science, head of the Ukrainian scientific school "Ecological safety in the construction and operation of ships." Author of over 350 scientific works and 40 inventions, including more than 100 - at the international level. Professor Ryzhkov S.S. a recognized authority on the development of public research organizations, the founder and President of the International Academy of Marine Science, Technology and Innovation, the founder and President of the Academy of Shipbuilding Sciences of Ukraine. Under his leadership, the University is constantly increasing its training of foreign students and graduate students, expanding the theme of International Studies holds international scientific and technical conferences.
Professor Ryzhkov S. from 2006 - 2015 was a member of Nikolaev regional council, chairman of the Standing Committee on the issues of ecology, environmental protection, environmental management and resource conservation, a member of the Presidium of the Regional Council. As rector and deputy had high prestige in the country - has entered the rating of twenty most influential personalities of the Mykolaiv region.
Professor Ryzhkov S. - the initiator and director of creation on the basis of the NUS "European-type University" program, which involves the construction of the largest in Ukraine E-Library, a research pool, modern infrastructure for everyday life of students and staff, etc. As part of this program since 2008 to successfully operate new scientific and community projects "Research Institute of shipbuilding", "Students' Republic NUS", projects to improve the defense capabilities of Ukraine.
